There will be an improv show this Friday in the theater at 7:30 PM. Come get out of the cold and have a few laughs. The cost is $2.00.
German Club will meet on Monday, February 12 from 3:35-4:15 p.m. in room D-17 to make valentines in German. All are welcome to come join the fun.
Good Morning Fargo South! We are hopefully on the downside of winter, so it’s time to celebrate. Student Council is sponsoring a spirit week next week. Look for the sign in the commons about dress up days. Monday will be Cozy Day; wear your favorite sweats or something super comfortable! $1 gets you a cozy, comforting cup of hot chocolate during all 3 lunch runs on Monday. Look for other special events next week too!
South High’s Honor Society will be collecting NEW teddy bears through Valentine’s Day. These teddy bears will be donated to the Fargo Police Department who gives these bears to children they interact with that have experienced any type of accident or traumatic event. To support this event, Dr. Bertsch has agreed to waive an hour of detention for any bears donated, up to 3 bears maximum. To donate, please bring your bears in to the counseling office and leave your name if needed for detention purposes. chic dress for prom party look amazing
Valentine’s Day is coming up, and Valentine’s means Kiss-o-grams! Key Club will be selling Kiss-o-grams this Friday, and next Monday and Tuesday! You can buy a note for $1, and you can buy extra accessories, such as balloons, suckers, and more! Come and buy one for someone special!
FCCLA week will be next week! Monday is promo day and we will be having an informational meeting in room C10 at 3:30pm. Come check out what FCCLA has to offer while enjoying some yummy snacks!
All students in AP classes: Registration for this spring’s AP tests starts today! Please log on at the link found on the South High Counseling page to register. Students are only able to register during the month of February so don’t delay!
Juniors and Seniors, be sure to check your detentions. Prom and Graduation are coming up and all detentions must be served to attend Prom and to walk Graduation. Detention will run from 9am-5pm, Saturday, February 10th. You can make up to 16 detentions if you stay the whole time. Check the detention listings outside the office for other dates that will be offered.
Today is a part of National School Counseling Week. Pop star Katy Perry says, “It takes a village to make me who I am.” Each one of us has a village. Your village includes your classmates, friends, family, teachers and others who surround you each day. Your village can help you become who you want to be—they are your network. Who could be a resource and help you along your path to achieving your goals? Give this some thought and visit your school counselor to chat!
